TSS are proud to announce that we have become a registered supporter of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter (GMGEC). Fair practices. A commitment to health and wellbeing. Opportunities for all. They’re at the heart of what we do. They’re also at the heart of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.
Many of the TSS team call Greater Manchester home. Beyond the work we do across the city region, it’s a place with special meaning because lots of us have roots here that reach back generations. Yet despite our passion for the place, we all know not everyone in the city enjoys the secure, fulfilling, well-paid work we do.
That’s why the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter exists. It’s a voluntary membership scheme created to improve employment standards across the region.
We fully support the Charter’s seven ‘Good Employment Characteristics’, which set out what good employment practice, effective employee engagement and good and fair employment looks like:
1. Extending secure work
2. Extending flexible work
3. Pay
4. Improving workplace engagement and voice
5. Developing excellent recruitment practices
6. Improving people management
7. Fostering employee health and wellbeing
