2022

TSS were engaged by Ringway to provide commercial management support to compile, submit and agree the monthly Application for Payment. Reappointed to the Welsh Water Network Alliance to provide full commercial services via F0CUS. Bethell using F0CUS platform as a complete end-to-end process from equity management through to commercial management. Engaged by United Living to provide estimation through to roll out of CityFibre contract. Engaged with Starts With You to provide an assessment of revenue and cost with the Specific emphasis on the sustainability of the service through detailed analysis of the work that they undertake.

2021

Working with Advance Plus – AMP7 carrying works on Waste & Clean Water Facilities. Appointed on Midland Metro Alliance to support the construction partner Colas Rail in the delivery of advanced utility diversions

2020

Engaged by Cadent Gas to carry out an audit and assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the cost base across their mains replacement gas distribution network contracts.

2019

F0CUS platform deployed within United Utilities as the interim commercial management solution. Appointed by Network Rail for the provision of training services.

2018

Client base continues to expand with services provided to directly to DCWW, Thames Water Infrastructure Alliance, Keltbray & NMCN. F0CUS platform underpinned new insurance repair provision workstream.

2017

Head Office relocated to Chorley and client base now includes ENWL, BT, Amey, Kier, Balfour Beatty, Merseyrail, Merseytravel, Keoghs. Appointed by Amey to provide full commercial services via F0CUS for the DCWW R&M Contract.

2016

Engaged via Merseytravel framework to manage Bus Alliance procurement. Secured TfGM/Metrolink Trafford Park Line diversionary works management for both ENWL and BT.

2015

Appointed on transformation project for Kier Street Lighting Contract coinciding with opening of London office and launch of F0CUS. Amey appoint TSS as transformation leads on DCWW Contract and Power Distribution Divisions.

2014

Appointed on Merseyrail framework for the provision of QS, CDM, clerk of works & project management. Awarded Liverpool Capital Schemes Contract for provision of QS & project management activity.

2013

Appointed by BT to provide commercial management and audit services for TfGM / Metrolink phase 3A & 3B. Secured TfGM / Metrolink 2nd City Crossing diversionary works management for ENWL and BT.

2012

T Sumner Smith Ltd acquired with private investment. New MD appointed with a strategy for growth.

2012

Enterprise consultancy framework integrated into core business. Working with London Underground, Local Authorities, Severn Trent Water and UU.

2009-2013

Comprehensive service to TfGM/Metrolink via Electricity North West, including QS, CDM, clerk of works & project management for phase 3A & 3B.

2000 - 2012

Quantity Surveying for a UK Wide programme of new stores & refurbishment from Norweb to Comet brand transition.

2000-2007

Financial & Quality Control monitoring of contractors on UU Electricity Services operations- OHL, cable laying, substation refurbs, 33kV wrks and other workstreams.

2000-2007

QS, financial control, CDMC & Clerk of works – Major EHV installation programme for UU Electricity / Norweb. OHL Condition surveys across UU Electricity areas including Manchester, Lancashire & Lakeland.

2006-2008

CDM coordinator 11kV secondary network projects in London & Eastern Power Network areas.

2000

T Sumner Smith Limited formed as the corporate entity for the regulated business workstreams by D Beatty MRICS.

1990-2000

Transition of provision of services to the regulated electricity sector. Financial & Quality Control monitoring of contractors from shop refurbishments, cable laying, substation refurbs, and other workstreams.

1970-1990

Working with Brands including NatWest and Barclays, TSS were involved with a major refurbishment of high street shops, leading to the provision of quantity surveying services to Norweb and their shop building programme.

1930-1970

TSS provide quantity surveying services for the post-war school and government rebuilding in Manchester, Lancashire, Nottingham and Salford local authorities supported with regional offices.
